Shipping Policy
The majority of Corten steel items will be shipped via one of our LTL
Freight Services. However, single, small planter orders are exclusively
shipped via FedEx Ground shipping services. Please note, we DO NOT ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
LTL Freight Services
We have partnerships with major international carriers such as
T-Force Freight, Daylight Transport, and FedEx Freight. The carrier
delivering to you depends on factors like location, transit time,
shipping costs, and shipment size. All mentioned carriers will unload
the shipment for you on the curb (or driveway if the curb is not
available). For white glove service, please reach out to us via email.
What to Expect?
Once the items are picked up by the carrier, we will provide you with
a tracking number (Note: Tracking number may take up to 24hrs to start
showing progress). When the shipment arrives at the nearest carrier
terminal to you, the dispatcher will reach out to the provided contact
number to schedule the final delivery date and time that works for you,
while also confirming the delivery address. Please make sure to note any
specific instructions for the carrier to ensure a smooth delivery
process. Your planters will arrive palletized and protected. After the
carrier delivers the items, the recipient will need to visually inspect
the pallets for any damage. Any damage must be noted to the delivering
driver. If no damage is noted, simply sign the delivery slip, and the
delivery is complete!
FedEx Ground Services:
Ground shipments (boxed) will be dropped off at your doorstep. If you
notice any damage or broken packaging, reach out to us as soon as
possible, and we’ll handle the rest.
Shipping FAQ:
How do I know which service you will use?
If your ordered items weigh over 125lbs in total, and/or any of the items' length exceeds 4 feet, your items will be shipped via LTL Freight services. Otherwise, send us an email with your order number, and we'll let you know!
Does anyone need to be present for the deliveries?
Yes,
an adult must be present for LTL freight deliveries to inspect the
items and sign the delivery slip. FedEx Ground does not require anyone
to be present.
What if I notice damage on my planters? (LTL Freight)
Note the damage to the delivering driver immediately and also make sure to note it on the delivery slip. Reach out to us, and we'll handle the rest. If the items were damaged in transit, we'll either replace the damaged planter or have it picked up, fixed, and sent back to you at no cost.
I received my planters, but they are grey. I thought I'm getting rusted planters?
Corten steel planters rust over time. They are shipped in a raw, non-rusted state, as clearly stated on each product page. Rusting can take anywhere from 1 month to 12+ months, depending on climate conditions, humidity, and other factors. (Pre-rusting is available for an additional fee).
I have a landscaping crew and need some coordination; can you accommodate that?
All carriers will reach out ahead of time to schedule the final date and time window of your delivery. Note: Carriers need a few hours' time window, so a specific hour is not guaranteed.
I just realized I provided a wrong address, can I change it?
Yes! If your planters have not been shipped yet, no additional charges will be applied. Once the shipment is in transit via LTL Freight, carriers allow address updates for shipments in-transit; however, the address change fee is $250.
Do you offer White Glove Delivery?
White Glove delivery availability depends on factors such as the number of stairs, length of the driveway, accessibility, location, and more. Reach out to us for White Glove delivery questions at sales@plantercraft.com (include your order number and delivery address), and we'll confirm if it's available in your area.
Can I use my own carrier to ship the order?
We do not accommodate 3rd party carriers at this time.
